Governance responsibility for heidi rests with the HESA Board of Directors. The Chief Executive of HESA is responsible to the HESA Board for the provision of the heidi service and the on-going development of the system. A heidi Users’ Group will be kept in existence for the period up to 31 July 2012 to provide a forum for the users of heidi to offer feedback on the service and guidance about the development priorities. A heidi Advisory Group will be kept in existence, chaired by the Chief Executive of HESA for the period to 31 July 2012. The Advisory Group will include representation from Leeds University, HEFCE, BUFDG and the heidi User Group. The Advisory Group will make recommendations to the HESA Board, through the Chief Executive, on the resources needed for the on-going maintenance and development of heidi in the light of input from the User Group and from HESA staff, and on the level of HE institutional subscriptions needed to provide that resource. The direct costs of operating the Advisory Group and the User Group, but not the cost of the time of non-HESA staff who are members of them, will form part of the costs of the ongoing heidi project. During 2011/12 HESA will establish a review process including involvement of the Advisory Group to make recommendations to the HESA Board about the governance and management of heidi from 1 August 2012 onwards. |
